TWITTER

It's been a long time since last update of this blog. As you can see on smilerobinson's dA page, I was away from Craft world for a while but since I made 'this', I feel my energy is back to craft world again.

I even started Twitter (@smlrobinson) again. I'm not sure how this will go but if you are interested, please follow me.

I haven't touched Blogger for a while. It's hard to edit. (◔‸◔ )

Hands on hold.

To complete papertoys for Final Fantasy series, I had to refresh my memory of FF VI so I started playing it. (My friend rended me her FF collections (PS ver). Thanks to her. :-) )

Now I'm hooked up with it. Totally.

This game was originally released in 1994. Although some graphics look tragic (i.e. collapsed dotted picture in some scenes), the story is still great and background of each characters are attractive. (Bad guy is simply a bad guy!) I played on super famicom when I was a kid but I can still enjoy FFVI with a different angle. My favourite characters back then was Figaro brothers but this time I must add Locke and Celes. ;-)

Anyway my hand making papertoys is currently on hold till I complete FFVI.

Dolls Bears Toys and Collectables Fair

I went to Liverpool yesterday. It was about 30 mins drive from home. I was very excited to see all dolls Australian collectors hold and sell.

Unfortunately I forgot to take my camera so there's no photos from the show. Silly me!

There were so many antiques, originals, and materials for dolls. I have never seen such range in Australia!lol Not only me but other people got brightened their faces and looked like their child memories came back.

During strolling the event, I found the original Kenner Blythe doll an old lady treasured for a long time. The hair didn't look good but it was certainly Blythe who could wear anything fashionably.

I wanted to own an antique teddy bear one day. I don't need many but at least one for me. This is the right place for me to look for the antique bears. But I didn't bring enough cash with me, I will try next time. But hey, I bought mohair. I might give a try to make a teddy bear by myself. Hmm

=Things I bought from the show=

A set of a table and couches which was a good size for Blythe

Just an old bear, not antique, I think...

A HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Hope you will have a fabulous 2008!!

In Christmas season we made the best sales!! Woohoo!! Thanks to those who brought gangs home! In 2007, we put our products in public for the first time. We weren't sure how 'd go but the reaction was positive and warm. In 2008 we'd like to try something new. Smilerobinson products are no longer available in public at the moment but will be back soon with new goods as well as softies like Robinson!

rabbie on the beach

This is Rabbie, a pink rabbit. Yesterday we went to Bondi beach. Yes THE Bondi. It was such beautiful weather. We made a sand mountain. Water was cold but many people enjoyed swimming.

After we enjoyed beach, we went for drinks.

A bird and musical sand

On my way home from work, I found white birds flying over my head. They were white lorikeets! They are common birds in Australia but I have seen them only in a cage in a pet shop before. It was impressive!

Summer has already left Sydney but one sunny Saturday afternoon, me and my friend went to beach. It was really beautiful weather and many people enjoyed swimming.

One girl came to us and greet in Japanese. It was cute surprise. She was from Adelaide, WA and told us she had a friend who's Japanese so studied Japanese ever since. Having friends from another countries is a great start to study language and from the language, people start learning more about the country where friends come from. I hope she will enjoy studying!

After saying good-bye to the girl. We started walking on the beach. Then we found that some part of sand on the beach made sound every time we made steps. So we jumped around the areas as if we played some instruments. What a fun it was!

Where is Summer?

It's been raining in Sydney since 1st of Jan. :-( Today I wear a jacket. Looks that weather in Syd is getting similer to the one in the tropical area... This Spring was definitely warmer than now...

Today I saw 'my friend' off at the post office. He went to UK to travel with my other friend there. His airfare costs only 9.70 AUD!! Soooo cheap... It's because he weights less than 0.5kg and he is small enough to fit in a small bubble bag... Now you know who I'm talking about. Robinson II. I hope his flight is alright, not so squishy-squashy. He promised me to send some photos of him when he gets there. Hooroo, Robinson II!

Trackwork

Cityrail makes trackwork on the railway line I daily use during summer holiday till new year's eve. During the trackwork, connected bus services are provided, but using a bus takes longer than a train. So I left home 30min earlier than usual this morning. 6:30 a.m. Normally it takes about 1 hour to my work so I expected to arrive at work around 7:30 a.m.

But all I did was waiting for a train and a connected bus for extra 30min and i got at the office as usual (8:00a.m)...

Now I'm thinking if I should leave home earlier than this morning or staying in bed and leave as ususal (7:00a.m).

Boxing day

Nice and calm day.

I was born in Northern Japan and my hometown has lots of snow in winter generally. I still haven't got used to Summer Christmas here in Sydney, Australia even after 6 years of my stay.
